Community Member Promotion Rules

At SAMBAR, a member is promoted based on the following rules:

Status levels:
1. Basic - Silver: Content Count - 100, Reputation points - 20
2. Silver - Gold: Content Count - 300, Reputation points - 80
3. Gold - Platinum: Content Count - 600, Reputation points - 200
4. Platinum - Diamond: Content Count - 1000, Reputation points - 400


Definitions:

What is a Post?

A post is a piece of Content. Both Topics and Replies (or comments) are called posts. For example, if you are creating a new Topic, you are making a post. If you are replying to a Topic, you are making a post.

What is Content Count?

The term Content Count refers to a score. The total number of posts is the score of Content Count.

What are Reputation Points?

The term Reputation Points refers to a score. The total number of likes or reactions you receive on all your posts is the Reputation Point score. 1 Reaction = 1 Reputation Point. SAMBAR Moderators may also award reputation Points for Quality Content.

Member Promotion Rules:

1. Members who become eligible for promotion must follow the rules below. Whether the members get promoted or not, they must abide by the rules.
2. Each membership status has its own set of criteria. As soon as your account meets the set of criteria required for promotion to specific membership status, you will automatically be given a placeholder status.
3. A placeholder status is a temporary position given to you soon as your account fulfills all the parameters required to achieve specific membership status.
4. When you achieve a placeholder status, your account is automatically put under review.
5. The review is required before each promotion because of the financial incentives involved.
6. The review process may take up to 1 week or seven business days.
7. Being in a placeholder position does not guarantee a promotion. SAMBAR reserves the right to promote or not.
8. SAMBAR reserves the right to stop considering your promotion process anytime during the review or after the review.
9. SAMBAR reserves the right to hold your promotion if your profile is incomplete. For example, you must set up an Avatar on your profile, and you must write about yourself in the About me section of your profile.
10. During the review period, if SAMBAR finds that you have tried or attempted (intentionally/unintentionally) to bypass the membership promotion rules in any means or cheat the system, SAMBAR reserves the right to suspend your account.
11. SAMBAR reserves the right to stop your promotion if the Content posted by you is not quality Content. To learn more about the quality content, watch the "Community Content Quality" video.
12. SAMBAR reserves the right to hold your promotion if the criteria of specific membership status are met, and the review has been done, but some other verification is required. For example, members with very little to no information in the "About Me" section on their profile may be asked to verify themselves before getting promoted. This is essential for us because we offer monetary incentives with promotions.
13. If any suspicious/fraudulent activity is found before or during the review, SAMBAR reserves the right to cancel the promotion and suspend your account.
14. During the review period, you are not allowed to post anything anywhere across SAMBAR. Also, you are not allowed to change your avatar and edit profile details.
15. Once the review is over, SAMBAR will let you know whether you are given a promotion or not.
16. The promotion of a member is done manually. We want to give a fair chance to everyone who's contributing to the SAMBAR Community.
17. SAMBAR promotes its members considering various parameters:
  1. The quality of their Content.
  2. Credibility & subject-matter expertise.
  3. Past behavior with other members of the SAMBAR Community.
  4. Experience in their line of work, profession, or industry.
  5. Consistency in their contribution towards the SAMBAR Community.
18. The parameters mentioned in point #17 are subjective. Hence, the promotion of any member is the sole discretion of SAMBAR. We have dedicated staff monitoring the Topics, Posts, and Content daily, and we reward Quality Content members by awarding Reputation Points.
19. SAMBAR has the right to promote or demote a member immediately or some other time later, with or without any prior notice.
20. SAMBAR reserves the right to Manually Set the "Content Count" score of any member. We also reserve the right to Recount and hide or delete all the Content of any member any time before, during, or after the review if we find that the quality of Content is not up to the mark.
21. SAMBAR reserves the right to manually set the "Reputation Points" score of any member. We also reserve the right to recount the score. We reserve the right to remove reputation given and remove reputation received any time before, during, or after the review if we find that the reputation score is achieved using false or fake activities.
22. Though there is a set of requirements for each membership that one must comply with, a member's promotion depends on how quality-rich Content they post and not on the number of followers they have or the number of comments they receive their posts, etc. We always value quality over quantity.

Membership Perks:

Basic (0-99 posts, Content Count - 100, Reputation points - 20):

1. As soon as you register, you will initially be placed in Basic status.
2. At Basic, the following perks & restrictions are applicable:
  1. Members can make up to 99 posts (topics, comments).
  2. Members can post (topics, comments) twice daily.
  3. A maximum of 300 characters is allowed per post.
  4. Members can edit their content up to 60 minutes after posting.
  5. Members can start two conversations per day via messages.
  6. Members can include a maximum of two recipients in a conversation.
  7. The conversation storage quota is 100 conversations. A conversation storage quota is the maximum number of stored conversations a member can have in their messenger.
  8. Members can make two reactions per day. 1 Reaction = 1 Reputation Point.
  9. Members can upload a profile photo. Animated photos are not allowed. The maximum size for a profile photo is 50kb, and the maximum width/height is 500 px.
  10. Members can upload a cover photo. The maximum size for a cover photo is 100 kb.
  11. Members will be awarded 15 LeBar once promoted to Silver status.
  12. Each LeBar is pegged to the US dollar at $1. These LeBar may be converted to Credits anytime or exchanged for money starting on April 1st, 2022. View LeBar and Credits for more information.
3. When a member's account hit Content Count = 100 and Reputation Points = 20, they will automatically be moved to the B-S placeholder status. At the B-S placeholder status, the account will be placed under review. After a successful review, the member will be promoted to Silver status manually.


Silver (100-299 posts, Content Count - 300, Reputation points - 80):

1. Only after a successful review of your account you will be promoted to Silver status manually.
2. At Silver, the following perks & restrictions are applicable:
  1. Members can make up to 299 posts (topics, comments).
  2. Members can post (topics, comments) twice daily.
  3. A maximum of 300 characters is allowed per post.
  4. Members can edit their Content up to 60 minutes after posting.
  5. Members can start two conversations per day via messages.
  6. Members can include a maximum of two recipients in a conversation.
  7. The conversation storage quota is 100 conversations. A conversation storage quota is the maximum number of stored conversations a member can have in their messenger.
  8. Members can make 10 reactions per day. 1 Reaction = 1 Reputation Point.
  9. Members can upload a profile photo. Animated photos are not allowed. The maximum size for a profile photo is 50kb, and the maximum width/height is 500 px.
  10. Members can upload a cover photo. The maximum size for a cover photo is 100 kb.
  11. Members can recommend trades to SAMBAR and become a Recommender. To learn more about a Recommender, please watch the video "Recommender vs. Analysts."
  12. Members can have one active trade on the SAMBAR platform at any given time and earn revenue out of it. For example, if your trade expires in a week, you can recommend four trades in one month.
  13. Members will be given additional 30 LeBar once they get promoted to Gold status.
  14. Each LeBar is pegged to the US dollar at $1. These LeBar may be converted to Credits anytime or exchanged for money starting on April 1st, 2022.
3. When a member's account hits Content Count = 300 and Reputation Points = 80, they will automatically be moved to the S-G placeholder status. At the S-G placeholder status, the account will be put under review. After a successful review, the member will be promoted to Gold status manually.


Gold (300-599 posts, Content Count - 600, Reputation points - 200):

1. Only after a successful review of your account you will be promoted to Gold status manually.
2. At Gold, the following perks & restrictions are applicable:
  1. Members can make up to 599 posts (topics, comments).
  2. Members can post (topics, comments) twice daily.
  3. A maximum of 300 characters is allowed per post.
  4. Members can edit their content up to 60 minutes after posting.
  5. Members can start two conversations per day via messages.
  6. Members can include a maximum of two recipients in a conversation.
  7. The conversation storage quota is 100 conversations. A conversation storage quota is the maximum number of stored conversations a member can have in their messenger.
  8. Members can make 15 reactions per day. 1 Reaction = 1 Reputation Point.
  9. Members can upload a profile photo. Animated photos are not allowed. The maximum size for a profile photo is 50kb, and the maximum width/height is 500 px.
  10. Members can upload a cover photo. The maximum size for a cover photo is 100 kb.
  11. Members can recommend trades to SAMBAR and become a Recommender. To learn more about a Recommender, please watch the video "Recommender vs. Analysts."
  12. Members can have two active trades on the SAMBAR platform at any given time and earn revenue out of it. For example, if your trade expires in one week, you can recommend about eight trades in one month.
  13. Members will be given additional 45 LeBar once they get promoted to Platinum status.
  14. Each LeBar is pegged to the US dollar at $1. These LeBar may be converted to Credits anytime or exchanged for money starting on April 1st, 2022.
3. When a member's account hit Content Count = 600 and Reputation Points = 200, they will automatically be moved to the G-P placeholder status. At the G-P placeholder status, the account will be put under review. After a successful review, the member will be promoted to Platinum status manually.


Platinum (600-999 posts, Content Count - 1000, Reputation points - 400):

1. Only after a successful review of your account you will be promoted to Platinum status manually.
2. At Platinum, the following perks & restrictions are applicable:
  1. Members can make up to 999 posts (topics, comments).
  2. Members can post (topics, comments) twice daily.
  3. A maximum of 300 characters is allowed per post.
  4. Members can edit their content up to 60 minutes after posting.
  5. Members can start two conversations per day via messages.
  6. Members can include a maximum of two recipients in a conversation.
  7. The conversation storage quota is 100 conversations. A conversation storage quota is the maximum number of stored conversations a member can have in their messenger.
  8. Members can make 20 reactions per day. 1 Reaction = 1 Reputation Point.
  9. Members can upload a profile photo. Animated photos are not allowed. The maximum size for a profile photo is 50kb, and the maximum width/height is 500 px.
  10. Members can upload a cover photo. The maximum size for a cover photo is 100 kb.
  11. Members can recommend trades to SAMBAR and become a Recommender. To learn more about a Recommender, please watch the video "Recommender vs. Analysts."
  12. Members can have three active trades on the SAMBAR platform at any given time and earn revenue out of it. For example, if your trade expires in a week, you can recommend 12 trades in one month.
  13. Members will be given additional 60 LeBar once they get promoted to Diamond status.
  14. Each LeBar is pegged to the US dollar at $1. These LeBar may be converted to Credits anytime or exchanged for money starting on April 1st, 2022.
3. When a member's account hit Content Count = 1000 and Reputation Points = 400, they will automatically be moved to the P-D placeholder status. At the P-D placeholder status, the account will be put under review. After a successful review, the member will be promoted to Diamond status manually.


Diamond (1000+ posts):

1. Only after a successful review of your account you will be promoted to Diamond status manually.
2. At Platinum, the following perks & restrictions are applicable:
  1. Members can make unlimited posts (topics, comments).
  2. Members can post (topics, comments) five daily.
  3. A maximum of 300 characters is allowed per post.
  4. Members can edit their content up to 60 minutes after posting.
  5. Members can start five conversations per day via messages.
  6. Members can include a maximum of five recipients in a conversation.
  7. The conversation storage quota is 100 conversations. A conversation storage quota is the maximum number of stored conversations a member can have in their messenger.
  8. Members can make 25 reactions per day. 1 Reaction = 1 Reputation Point.
  9. Members can upload a profile photo. Animated photos are not allowed. The maximum size for a profile photo is 50kb, and the maximum width/height is 500 px.
  10. Members can upload a cover photo. The maximum size for a cover photo is 100 kb.
  11. Members can recommend trades to SAMBAR and become a Recommender. To learn more about a Recommender, please watch the video "Recommender vs. Analysts."
  12. Members can have five active trades on the SAMBAR platform at any given time and earn revenue out of it. For example, if your trade expires in a week, you can recommend about 20 trades in one month.
  13. Members may apply for Analyst Status via the Contact Us page. An approval of Analyst Status is not automatic and is at the sole discretion of SAMBAR.


Reporting and Moderation Policy:
1. When a post is reported, it is put under review.
2. The review process may take time, depending on how many posts are in the queue. Usually, it takes seven business days.
3. The member who reports the Content must add a note that tells why they are reporting it.
4. Under review, SAMBAR staff will review the Content and the note, and the appropriate action will be taken.
